What This Section Shows You

  • This section shows you all the "contruction" drawings.
  • The previous Section D2 shows you just the KEY drawings.
  • The next Section D4 shows you all the "operating" drawings, plus some other reference drawings.

Building In Phases

The track unit drawings (Sheets 33, 34, & 35) and tracking wiring drawings (Sheets 36, 37, & 38) show 3 "phases" of construction, single-track, double-track, and 4-track. This allows you to build the system in progressive steps, starting with just 1 track, then progress to 2 tracks, then progress to 4 tracks.

Other Comments

  • The first drawing, Sheet 31, lists these drawings by number.
  • You use the #1651 Main Control (Sheet 09, part of Drawing Set Item 4) from the Two-Track Block Drawings, as the Main Control Unit for the 4-track Zellner Yard.

May 2006 Note - When To Use The Model 402 Template

Use the Model 402 template (added May 2006) described in Section C1, if you want to build a 4-track control unit from "scratch", rather than expanding a 2-track unit.

The Model 402 Yard uses most of the drawings from the earlier 1654 design (Sections D1 thru D4), but there are 3 new drawings created for the one-piece control unit: Cover Sheet, template, and parts list.
